Senior Physiotherapist

An experienced clinician with a strong background in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. You will manage complex caseloads, contribute to program development, and help shape how we deliver structured recovery.

  • Melbourne, VIC
  • Full-time
  • On-site
  • 38 hours / week

About the role

Rhecore is built on a simple premise: rehabilitation works better when it is structured, continuous, and guided by evidence. We are looking for a Senior Physiotherapist who shares that belief and wants to practice accordingly.

In this role, you will manage your own complex caseload across a range of musculoskeletal presentations — from post-surgical recovery to persistent pain and return-to-performance. You will work within Rhecore's phased rehabilitation framework, collaborating closely with strength & conditioning, clinical pilates, and allied health colleagues.

This is not a high-volume, appointment-mill environment. We prioritise clinical quality, give you the time to treat properly, and expect you to think beyond individual sessions toward complete recovery trajectories.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and deliver structured, phase-based rehabilitation programs aligned with Rhecore's clinical framework.
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments and develop individualised treatment plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with strength & conditioning, pilates, and allied health colleagues to deliver integrated care.
  • Contribute to clinical program development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in weekly case discussions, peer review, and evidence-based learning sessions.
  • Mentor and support junior clinicians within the team.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and outcome tracking throughout each patient's recovery.

What we are looking for

  • AHPRA-registered Physiotherapist with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in musculoskeletal assessment and rehabilitation.
  • Strong understanding of progressive loading principles and exercise prescription.
  • Experience managing post-surgical rehabilitation pathways.
  • Ability to think in phases — not just sessions — and plan recovery trajectories accordingly.
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, referrers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Commitment to evidence-informed practice and continuous professional development.

What we offer

  • Freedom to treat properly within a structured, evidence-informed framework.
  • Appointment lengths that allow thorough assessment and quality treatment.
  • Regular case-based learning, peer review, and funded continuing education.
  • Work alongside physiotherapists, S&C coaches, and pilates practitioners.
  • Clear pathways into clinical leadership, specialisation, or program development.
